This policy explains what information Maqast collects and how it is used. Maqast is a booking app for barbershop appointments.

Information we collect

• Account details — you sign in with Google or Apple. We receive your email address and, if you allow it, your name. With Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your email, in which case we receive a private relay address instead. Your email ties bookings to your account; your name is optional and shown to the barbershop you book with.
• Booking activity — appointments you make, cancel, or complete, and any review you leave.
• Notifications — if you allow notifications, we store a device token so we can tell you when a barber accepts or declines your booking.

Location

If you use Quick Booking, the app asks for your location to sort nearby barbershops by distance. This happens entirely on your device — your location is not sent to our servers and is not stored.

How we use it

Your information is used only to operate the app: signing you in, creating and managing bookings, notifying you about your booking status, and showing barbershops your booking and review history where relevant. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Sharing

Your name and email are visible to the barbershop and barber you book an appointment with, so they can identify and contact you about your appointment. We rely on a few service providers to run the app — Google and Apple for sign-in, and Google Firebase to deliver notifications — and they process only what is needed for those functions. We do not share your information with any other third party except as required to operate the service.

Data retention

We keep your account and booking history for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete Account), which removes your bookings and reviews. You can also contact us to request deletion.

Your choices

You can update your name in the app at any time, and delete your account from Profile → Delete Account. To request a copy of your data, contact us using the email below.
